The Asia Pacific largest banks are ranked based on asset size of banks in the whole Asia Pacific region including the following countries: Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. We also consider banks in countries such as Bhutan and East Timor when their banks are qualified to be included in the AB500.
