Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve personal sales commitments and targets;
  • Selling the full range of intelligence-based products and business propositions to clients of the Company within assigned budgets and sales targets;
  • Building networks and relationships with third parties and other intermediaries and potential clients of the Company;
  • Initiate and execute marketing and sales program that will result in successful sales and revenue contributing to the company’s bottom-line;
  • Continuously be able to establish rapport in the industry;
  • Representing the views of the Company to the public accurately and professionally.

Requirements

Junior Sales Executive (Singapore, KL or Dubai)

You will be responsible for:

1. Selling research, digital content or conference products to a range of business clients including to banks, technology companies and consulting firms that serve     the financial services industry.

2. You will be taught to generate business and sales lead, identify potential clients and client’s needs;

3. Identify opportunities to cross/ up sell Asian Banker products and services to existing clients;

4. Attain individual and group sales targets;

5. Build relationship with the community.

6. Travel widely or in the region you cover.


Skills/ Characteristics

1. Preferably good academic background from a reputable university.

2. Written and verbal English language skills as well as telephone etiquette is an important prerequisite.

Sales Director (Singapore)

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Achieve your own personal sales commitments and targets.

2. Manage a Sales Team such that it is functioning to the optimum.

  • Each member of your sales team must meet their sales revenue target. Achieving this revenue is a function of managing the sales pipeline very judiciously, ensuring that products are clearly defined and understood and that these products are clearly being monitored in the pipeline.
  • Each sales staff’s pipeline should also always show that they are going to meet the set target ahead of time. Otherwise it will be your responsibility to plan and manage the output by identifying products and clients to target.
  • Seeking out and visiting clients personally together with the sales team to achieve their numbers.
  • Grow the Sales Team and Sales Figures to reflect the growth of the Company in new geographies, such as Asia, Africa and the Middle East as well as into new product lines, including an expanded publications, research and forums businesses.
  • Ensuring that the sales team always has an adequate supply of sales professionals of sufficient quality to meet sales targets.

3. Manage the monthly and annual net income budgets for all products on a consistent basis in a manner to ensure that the Company achieves its profitability      every single month, by ensuring that each product is delivered according to plan and budget in the appointed month when they are due.

4. Negotiate daily with the Business/Product Managers in the company on meeting their product delivery commitments on schedule, ad on costs and revenue      targets that results in the projected sales targets.

  • The ability to sell the full range of intelligence-based products and business propositions to clients of the Company within assigned budgets and sales targets.

  • The ability to promote the products, services, activities and general reputation of the Company in such a way that will build goodwill in the marketplace and result in strong sales revenue.

  • The ability to write and present sales propositions and secure sales, particularly of the large ticket items with reputable organizations that the Company seeks to do business with.
  • The ability to achieve the sales target set in the budget for each year.

  • The ability to plan and manage the output by identifying products and clients to target.

Executive Editor (Based in Singapore)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing all the editorial, production and processes related activities of the online and print editorial publications of the Company in a timely and of a high quality basis.
  • Conduct senior executive level interview/dialogue and build a strong relationship with the financial services community.
  • Contributing to the overall brand, reputation and experience of the Company.
  • Be conversant with the subject matter of the Company’s products and services and the clientele that the company serves.
  • Ensure that all issues of The Asian Banker or any other publication business are delivered in a timely and cost efficient manner to a high degree of expertise to commensurate with the brand and position of the Company.

Requirements

Senior Researcher (Singapore)

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic business research and/or consulting experience, ideally focusing on banking, financial services, international trade or a related industry;
  • Researching, writing and publishing a series of reports on a topic-by-topic basis that would also contribute to a benchmarking library on the subject matter;
  • Able to contribute to new, commercially-viable research topics and project origination and ensure all research projects undertaken are delivered in a timely manner and of top quality;
  • Contributing articles to the Company’s flagship publication; providing input to the editorial team for stories on your area of coverage.
  • Researching and presenting at the Company’s own or client’s briefings/events;
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and professional interaction with the industry at all levels, through formal presentation sessions and social settings (where required) in order to understand the industry;
  • Assist in the formulation of the Company’s conference or webinar/podcast agenda (where required) and;
  • Contributing to the reputation of the company and its research business through all forms of client contact, speaking engagements, press interviews and general availability for marketing and related activities;

Requirements:

  • 7-8 years of relevant experience;
  • Fluent in English (Speaking and Writing);
  • Background in business strategy, benchmarking, and related research work is preferred;
  • Excellent organizing project management and multi-tasking capabilities;
  • A good bachelor degree in a related field (Masters Preferred);
