SWIFT announces cancellation of Sibos physical event
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, SWIFT has taken the decision to cancel the Sibos physical event scheduled to take place in Boston from 5 to 8 October 2020.
SWIFT stated that they reached the decision after extensive consultation with the Sibos community and in the interest, first and foremost, of protecting the safety and well-being of their customers, partners and staff.
“This is not a decision we take lightly, but one we believe is the most responsible course of action given global circumstances,” SWIFT said in a statement. “We are exploring options to launch world-class industry thought leadership content digitally that week and beyond.”
Interested participants can also sign up for the Sibos Insider newsletter to receive updates. Next year’s Sibos is expected to take place at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore from 11 to 14 October 2021.
