RHB Islamic Bank appoints Datuk Adissadikin Ali as managing director and CEO

DATUK Adissadikin Ali has been appointed managing director/chief executive officer of RHB Islamic Bank and head, group syariah business of the RHB Banking Group. His appointment is effective Aug 1, succeeding Ibrahim Hassan.

In his role as the managing director/CEO of RHB Islamic Bank and head, group syariah business, Adissadikin will be responsible for leading, managing and growing the group’s syariah business, making it into one of the top 3 Islamic banking institutions in Malaysia, while also exploring opportunities for growth regionally. Group syariah business is one of RHB’s key growth areas under its Ignite 2017 transformation programme.

Prior to joining the RHB Banking Group, Adissadikin was CEO of Alkhair International Islamic Bank Bhd (AKIIB) since June 1, 2015. From October 2010 to May 2015, he was the president and CEO of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd.

Adissadikin graduated from Monash University in Australia with a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) degree and subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Universiti Malaya. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme, and is a Chartered Banker with The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers.
