The Company's core services include research, publications and organizing forums for decision-makers in the industry. We are looking for high-caliber individuals for the following position.

Editor (based in Singapore)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all online contents and deliverables to ensure that they are published on a timely and high-quality basis;
  • Initiate and execute ideas to enhance overall online contents and deliverables;
  • Write regularly short opinion editorial articles on relevant and current topics for the website;
  • Develop a strong online presence and work closely with social media team to develop strong social media presence;
  • Edit and proofread all our written research, editorial and social media contents for dissemination through our online and social media channels, to ensure grammatical correctness and factual accuracy.

Core Skills::

  • Ability to generate story ideas and determine the best way to tell a story on the channels and platforms in your care – List, infographic, videos, slideshow, voice files, long form or short form editorial content;
  • Able to write, conduct and publish interviews from a wide source of industry practitioners;
  • Ability to identify targets to interview in person and remotely online (recorded Zoom);
  • Able to apply high sub editing and journalistic standards in the execution of your works;
  • Able to take good pictures, source for quotes, pictures and write/rewrite news snippets.

KPIs:

  • Manage the content of the Company’s online and social media platforms effectively for clients of the Company;
  • Initiate, organize, execute and deliver editorial assignments accurately and professionally in a timely manner;
  • Generate story ideas, writes mainly feature articles and moderates panel sessions;
  • Accuracy and timeliness in the execution of your assignments are fundamental to your success.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a tertiary qualification in relevant field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong business or banking, consulting, research or writing background;
  • Strong command of the English language;
  • Worked continuously in journalism, writing for trade publication, wire services or media agencies;
  • Sub-editing experience, preferably with websites or online publications;
  • Be comfortable with the use of CMS such as Wordpress, Joomla, or ModX;
  • Be able to work under pressure independently with minimum supervision;
  • Knowledge of Social Media tools is a plus, but not critical.
  • Candidates with less than 5 years of experience may be considered for Sub-Editors.

Sales Manager (Awards, Events, Memberships) (Kuala Lumpur)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To generate revenue for selling the Company’s range of services and products by way of telecommunication sales.Telecommunication sales include sales viaemails, social media and telephone;
  • Selling the full range of intelligence-based related products and business propositions for the Company’s training and conference business including research reports;
  • Initiate and execute marketing and sales program that will result in successful sales and revenue contributing to the company’s bottom-line.

Core Skills::

  • The ability to sell the full range of intelligence-based products and services to clients of the Company within assigned budgets and sales targets;
  • The ability to develop sales capability by building networks and relationships with third parties and other intermediaries and potential clients of the Company;
  • The ability to promote the products, services, activities and general reputation of the Company in such a way that will build goodwill in the marketplace and result in strong sales revenue;
  • The ability to write and present sales propositions and secure sales, particularly of the large ticket items with reputable organizations that the Company seeks to do business with;
  • The ability to achieve the sales target set in the budget for each year.

  • Meeting your personal sales targets. Managing the Sales Revenue of the Company to ensure that we are profitable every month and generating strong income on a moving average basis;

  • Problem solving skills on a daily basis;
  • The trust and respect of all sales, clients and associates of the Company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Publication, Sales and Marketing, Banking and Finance, Research and related fields;
  • Ability to close publication sales to the banking and fintech community;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is preferred;
  • Experience working with remote sales teams in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong business acumen and execution skill;
  • Mature executives with the ability to interact with top management face-to-face;
  • Leadership capability and good team player;

Research Analyst (Singapore)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collate relevant and important data that are pertinent to the research assignment delivered by the Company and perform quantative analysis on the data to provid insights, analysis and forecast of industry development;
  • Researching, writing and publishing a series of reports on a topic-by-topic basis that would also contribute to a benchmarking library on the topic;
  • Design questionnaire/survey according to the scope of work required, conduct interviews with industry players to collate required data and information and developing excellent powerpoint presentation to share its findings;
  • Contribute to the reputation of the Company and its research business through all forms of client contact, speaking engagements, press interviews and general availability for marketing and related activities.

Core Skills::

  • Ability to undertake and execute strategic research work including developing research methodologies, conducting primary fieldwork (which involves, sourcing an conducting interviews with primary sources in the industry) collating primary data, designing conceptual models, writing and presenting reports as required for our industry;
  • Ability to execute quantitative analysis;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels in a manner that establishes rapport, trust and continued business;
  • Ability to manage projects to time and profitability;
  • Ability to work closely with all members of the Company as a team-player.

KPIs:

  • The research projects undertaken are delivered in a timely manner;
  • Articles contributed to the Company’s print and online publications/journal, where necessary;

Requirements

  • Possess a recognised degree (Masters preferred);
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills is a must;
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude and 2 to 4 years proven work experience as a Research Professional in the financial services;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly analyse trends in wholesale and transaction banking;
  • Strong skills in the use of statistical, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software;
  • Able to formulate, execute and to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Must be a team-player.

Content Managers (Awards, Memberships, Sponsorship) (based in SG, KL)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Producing the agenda for top notch strategic conferences and meetings with solid content and identification and management of highest-level industry speakers or resources for the major and minor conferences, forums and/or training products;
  • Research current trends across all verticals in the financial services industry to generate content for the programmes;
  • Identification and management of speakers or resources;
  • Develop creative marketing collaterals (videos, audios, social media) that promote the programmes to the financial services community;
  • Identify and develop alliances with strategic partners;
  • Overall project management from planning, strategizing and execution of these programmes.

Core Skills::

  • Contribution to the quality of the content, speakers/moderators/trainers of the major and minor conferences, forums, webinars and/or training products in which you are involved in the period under review.
  • Ability to support in the timeliness and production of the conferences, forums, webinars and/or training products in which you are involved as lead or supporting staff.

Requirements

  • Possessing a good Bachelor’s degree is required;
  • 2-5 years of experience in content development for a research or conference-based organization;
  • Candidates with prior journalism experience and a flair for financial services are encouraged to apply as the job will be 80% research based and 20% forums;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with senior executives from the industry;
  • Superior research and analytical skills with a creative slant;

Junior Graphic Designer (KL)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To design and layout all products and services of the company that will be produced in an on-line and/or printed format;
  • Maintain and ensure that the Company’s web content is updated when required;
  • Support the creative team in delivery of projects such as motion tracking, animations and promos;
  • Work closely as part of the IT team to ensure that the website design and layout is integrated closely and seamlessly with the Company’s back office systems;
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc design work of company projects and materials.
  • Marketing collaterals (brochure, banner, infographics) layout mag, report, logos.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Graphic Designs with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience;
  • Solid experience with digital technology, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign web design, and typesetting;

Junior Sales Executive (Singapore, KL or Dubai)

You will be responsible for:

1. Selling research, digital content or conference products to a range of business clients including to banks, technology companies and consulting firms that serve     the financial services industry.

2. You will be taught to generate business and sales lead, identify potential clients and client’s needs;

3. Identify opportunities to cross/ up sell Asian Banker products and services to existing clients;

4. Attain individual and group sales targets;

5. Build relationship with the community.

Skills/ Characteristics

1. Preferably good academic background from a reputable university.

Executive Editor (Based in Singapore)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing all the editorial, production and processes related activities of the online and print editorial publications of the Company in a timely and of a high quality basis.
  • Conduct senior executive level interview/dialogue and build a strong relationship with the financial services community.
  • Contributing to the overall brand, reputation and experience of the Company.
  • Be conversant with the subject matter of the Company’s products and services and the clientele that the company serves.
  • Ensure that all issues of The Asian Banker or any other publication business are delivered in a timely and cost efficient manner to a high degree of expertise to commensurate with the brand and position of the Company.
  • Ability to contribute to the total well-being and sustainability of the Organisation.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent;
  • Possess at least 8-10 years of editorial experience;
  • Sales and business development skills to align editorial products and services to be commercially viable and ability to work with clients to secure sales;
  • Background in Financial and Banking business strategy, benchmarking, and related research work is an advantage;
