Senior Researcher (Beijing)

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic business research and/or consulting experience, ideally focusing on banking, financial services, international trade or a related industry
  • Researching, writing and publishing a series of reports on a topic-by-topic basis that would also contribute to a benchmarking library on the topic
  • Able to contribute to new, commercially-viable research topics and project origination and ensure all research projects undertaken are delivered in a timely manner and of top quality
  • Contributing articles to the Company’s flagship Journal
  • Researching and presenting at the Company’s own or client’s briefings/events
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and professional interaction with the industry at all levels, through formal presentation sessions and social settings (where required) in order to understand the industry

  • Contributing to the reputation of the company and its research business through all forms of client contact, speaking engagements, press interviews and general availability for marketing and related activities

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English (Speaking and Writing)
  • Background in business strategy, benchmarking, and related research work is preferred
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, including a sound understanding of developing and executing research methodologies (essential)
  • Excellent organizing project management and multi-tasking capabilities
  • A good bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s Preferred)

Executive, Social Media (Based in Manila)

Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex language and ideas into useful and visually appealing digital, audience-focused formats (including social media, blogs, special landing pages, and web content).
  • Engage and work with marketing team to develop and distribute content to the social media community.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the organisations social media strategy, including the socialisation of online content (print and multimedia) and make recommendations for the effective use of existing and future platforms.
  • Maintain our social media channels by creating high-level, quality multimedia content crafted for engagement, brand standards and search engine optimisation.
  • Create and update social media calendars, strategy, and process communications.
  • Review, edit and incorporate ongoing feedback into monthly and quarterly social media monitoring and progress reports.
  • Serve as a community manager by using online tools and in-person networking to maintain relationships both online and off

Japan Business Development Executive (Based in Singapore)

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in our key Singapore-based executive interactions with Japanese business and banking leaders
  • To travel to Japan regularly to meet with potential sponsors and commercial partners as well as senior and mid-level managers to explain to them the key Asian Banker products and services
  • To translate all marketing collaterals and the key pages of our website into Japanese
  • To prepare the ground for The Asian Banker Event to be held in Japan
  • To build and manage the Database of all our customers in Japan
Requirements:
  • Excellent business degree from top-tiered university in UK, US or other Western Countries. Major in finance and banking preferred.

    Research Analysts/ Journalists/Writers (Beijing &/or Singapore based)

    This job entails developing an understanding of current issues in the banking industry (prior knowledge not required but must be acquired on-the-job), meeting and conducting interviews with senior bankers in China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, getting to know them over time, writing incisive articles, contributing to research data collection and participating in a variety of research and consulting projects. Candidates who have strong consulting background may be required to make presentations to clients, including the banks and regulators.
