Emirates NBD wins Best Process Automation Implementation in Middle East Award for improving processes and operations through robotics automation 2020

5 November 2020, Singapore — Emirates NBD received the award for Best Process Automation Implementation in Middle East at The Asian Banker Middle East and Africa Regional Awards Virtual Ceremony 2020. 

The bank built robotics process automation practiceto support banking operations

Emirates NBD established robotics process automation practice and built digital workforce capacity to support banking operations that focus on improving efficiency, customer service and quality. It developed process automationthat minimised user activities to execute all processes with better quality and less turnaround time. It generated efficiency by making these software robots available on demand.

The implementation provided opportunities for business and reduced time to market products

The bank implemented some of the breakthrough automations that generated more opportunities for business and also reduced time to market products and offerings. The automation of critical processes ensured that it has zero processing errors. It also enabled effective use of the bank’s human capital by re-training and reallocating them to more value-added activities and high intelligence skills.

The bank processed more than 500,000 transactions with over $5 million over five years

Emirates NBD processed more than 500,000 transactions. It generated over $5 million over five years with more than 80 solutions running in production. Around seven processes have been automated end–to-end and 35 processes are 70% automated.
