Singapore, 5th November 2020— Ahli United Bank Kuwait received Best ATM and Kiosks Initiative, Application or Programme in the Middle East at The Asian Banker Middle East and Africa Regional Awards 2020.
Provided enhanced transaction services on the ATMs to reduce traffic to tellers in branches
Ahli United Bank Kuwait introduced enhanced ATMs which allow the offloading of additional transactions from the teller network to a self-service model. The bank aimed to reduce traffic to tellers in branches. Since tellers are over occupied with many functions, therefore, ATMs can be used for basic cash transactions of withdrawal or deposit.
Implemented various range of services on its ATMs which improved customer experience
The bank implemented various range of services including international transfer on its ATM machines which improved customer experience, ATM usage and business impact. It provided enhanced transaction services on the ATMs. The implementation increased satisfaction level of customers since ATMs are available 24x7; this allows customers to transact upon their convenience. And, it has also increased the bank’s revenue stream.
Saved cost by million through enhancing their ATMs without any hardware procurement.
As a result, there has been a substantial movement of customers from tellers to ATMs for the functions which are available on ATMs. The project has been rolled out on all of the bank’s more than 100 ATMs across 38 branches. The bank was able to save the capital expenditure by million wherein it transformed their ATMs to work like ITMs without any hardware procurement or replacements.
