Future of Bank of China may lie in its new core banking system
Bank of China’s new core banking system is finally installed; hiccups and all, and they are still learning its systems and how to begin using it for marketing and customer segmentation. March 29, 2012 | Baron LaudermilkBank of China’s general manager for the IT department, Yu Tong, has commented that the bank is currently pursuing ways to learn more about their customers’ profiles by analyzing data now available as a result of the new system, with the help of their recently rolled-out integrated core banking system. However, the system’s quirks are still showing and it does not currently have data analytics and other software tools to help the bank analyze and separate its customer base.
