The award ceremony was held in conjunction with the prestigious Future of Finance Summit 2019, the foremost annual meeting for decision makers in the financial services industry in the Asia Pacific region, held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

With her deep understanding and notable experience in creating and driving content for the digital world, Ms Monsinee Nakapanant, Co-President, Ascend Money, led the company’s  digital wallet ‘True Money’ to become the biggest e-wallet in Thailand. The company emerged as a leading fintech in South East Asia, serving underserved customers with a complete ecosystem of online and offline payments. In less than four years, she successfully expanded the group’s reach to six countries, while building up human capital and establishing a scaled agile operational practice across the region.

She piloted the company to increase the sources of funding options for the wallet and add new online payment avenues which resulted in it achieving the highest market share in the e-wallet business in Thailand. Recently the company has also collaborated to enable payments through Apple App Store and Google Playstore using its digital wallet, widening its online reach.

These facilitated the company to achieve a user growth of over 200% in 2018.
