A procurement-to-payment (P2P) platform- PracBiz, reported significant financial challenge faced by its suppliers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Maybank implemented an innovative solution that provided suppliers with access to working capital without requiring financial statements or collateral. By leveraging transaction data from the platform, it introduced two financing options: Short Term Advances (STA) and Receivables Purchase Programmes (RPP). These digital solutions reduced financing costs and eliminated manual processing, enabling suppliers to receive prompt payments and improving liquidity across the supply chain.
