New York -- The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has opened the SGX Chicago Hub at CME Group’s facility in Aurora, Illinois. Through the hub, North American investors are empowered to directly trade equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives, and access market data regarding the Singaporean market.
“The goal of establishing a hub for SGX in Chicago is to make Asia's financial markets more accessible to investors in North America and broaden SGX’s international footprint,” said Ng Kin Yee, Head of Market Data and Connectivity at SGX. “We look forward to more participants connecting directly to SGX through the SGX Chicago Hub.”
IPC Systems, Inc., a global provider of specialized communications and managed network-as-a-service solutions for the financial trading community, will manage the hub.
"IPC sees significant demand among North American institutional investors, asset managers, hedge funds and market makers to securely and quickly access markets in the Asia-Pacific region, said David Brown, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Financial Markets Network, IPC.
