ShopeePay, a digital payment and financial services provider in Southeast Asia and Brazil, has worked with Google Play to offer users in Singapore more convenient ways to pay for apps, games and digital content. Android users can now pay with their preferred ShopeePay payment methods on Google Play, including their ShopeePay wallet balance, SPayLater and linked credit and debit cards, making digital purchases and subscription management more seamless and convenient. As one of the most digitally connected countries, with online penetration reaching 98.4% in 2025, Singapore continues to see consumers embrace digital services across entertainment, productivity and everyday life. As digital spending becomes increasingly commonplace, consumers are increasingly expecting the payment experience to be just as seamless as the services they use. By integrating payment methods that users already know and trust into Google Play, ShopeePay is making it easier for consumers to access the digital content and services they enjoy, while giving them greater flexibility in how they pay. "Digital services are deeply embedded in Singaporeans' daily lives, whether for entertainment, productivity or everyday utility," said Benjamin Tan, head of ShopeePay, Singapore. "As spending on digital platforms becomes more common, consumers increasingly expect the payment methods they use to be available wherever they choose to spend. Through our partnership with Google Play, we're giving users more choice and flexibility at checkout by bringing ShopeePay's range of payment options to one of the world's most widely used digital platforms."
