DXC Technology, a leading Fortune 500 global technology services provider announced it has signed a five-year contract with KWI Life Insurance (KWI) in Thailand to implement DXC Assure for Life and Wealth, an integrated software solution.

DXC Assure for Life and Wealth on AWS cloud will help KWI leverage the DXC ASSURE digital platform with full capability in delivering digital services and solutions to attract, retain and provide customers with a consistent digital experience, as well as strengthen the company’s initiative to become the digital financial and insurance solution provider of choice for Thais.

Antonio Hang Tat Chan, vice-chairman and CEO of KWI Public Company said, “KWI aims to bring solutions that serve the specific needs of our clients. This new platform provides a distinctive and compelling digital customer experience, and the agility to scale services quickly as required. Our collaboration with DXC and AWS will allow us to broaden our portfolio of digital solutions to meet our clients’ specific needs, including receiving information at a touch of a button and personalised policies. The company and team will commit and continue to offer its current products, and plan to expand its competitive solutions in the future. We tactically intend to be recognised as a trustworthy and innovative company by streamlining our operations to achieve sustainable growth”.

As part of the King Wai Group, a leading Hong Kong conglomerate with a successful corporate history of more than 35 years, KWI recently acquired Manulife Thailand and has developed business synergies in life insurance, general insurance, asset management and real estate development in Thailand.

Apichart Arunkunarax, managing director and country general manager, DXC Technology said, “We are committed to unlocking opportunities for innovation for KWI Life Insurance, while reducing costs over time, and look forward to supporting KWI with their expansion plans in Thailand”.

“DXC brings industry expertise, software and modernisation services together with our ecosystem of partners to provide solutions that enable each insurer’s digital transformation objectives.”

KWI is the first DXC Assure for Life and Wealth customer on AWS cloud in Southeast Asia, and a cornerstone in DXC’s growth strategy. This combined capability presents an opportunity to do similar migrations to AWS cloud, creating a unique differentiator for DXC.

Conor McNamara, managing director of ASEAN at AWS said, “This paves the way for AWS and DXC to further accelerate cloud-enabled transformations for insurers in ASEAN”. “As one of Southeast Asia's earliest and most progressive cloud implementors, DXC is a trusted advisor to leading enterprises and organisations in ASEAN and we are delighted to support DXC as they help our joint customers digitally transform into cloud-native businesses.”

Pete Murray, head of FSI, AWS ASEAN said, “Today’s insurance companies are leveraging AWS Cloud to launch new digital customer experiences and create personalised insurance products, while nimbly responding to regulatory changes”.  “We are excited to work with DXC to help insurance customers in Southeast Asia, such as King Wai Life to unlock the power of cloud and transform their business. With the scalability, security, and breadth and depth of AWS services, King Wai Life, will be able to improve customer experiences in an agile manner while remaining cost efficient.”
