HSBC Private Banking appoints Michael Christo head of discretionary for Asia Pacific

The ex-UBS banker Michael Christo has joined HSBC Private Banking with immediate effect. In his new role Christo will be responsible for driving the Managed Solutions business across the region and will be based in Hong Kong.

He was previously Head of the Portfolio Specialist Team in Hong Kong, responsible for marketing the Investment Products and Services (IPS) platform to UBS clients in Greater China.

He had been with the firm for 11 years, joining in 2005 as an Investment Consultant and then assuming the role of Head of Product and Services Consulting focusing on HNW and UHNW clients.
