Citi appoints new markets, treasury and trade solutions officials

Citi has made key appointments in its markets and treasury and trade solutions (TTS) business, reiterating its commitment and focus towards growing its ASEAN business and supporting corporates in the region on their global and regional ambitions.

Citi has been in ASEAN since 1902 and is committed to the growth and development of the business in the region. As one of the oldest financial institutions in the ASEAN region, Citi is deeply embedded in its financial services sector with representation in nearly every business including corporate and investment banking, treasury and trade solutions, global markets and securities services, commercial banking and private banking.

The ASEAN region is a strategic hub, enabling Citi to be at the forefront of innovation and technology, with both client-focused capabilities and product-focused innovation.

Vandana Bhatter has been appointed as head of markets for ASEAN, effective immediately. She will report to Julia Raiskin, APAC head of markets and Amol Gupte, head of South Asia and ASEAN.

Bhatter will be responsible for leading and driving a fully integrated business strategy, monetising Citi’s local market network and strengthening connectivity both within Asia markets and with the other institutional client group businesses, leveraging Citi’s global footprint and comprehensive product offering.

Bhatter will retain her existing responsibilities as ASEAN corporate sales and solutions (CSS) head for markets and will continue to report to Gunjan Kalra, head of corporate and public sector sales and solutions, markets, Asia Pacific.

Bhatter first joined Citi in India as a markets management associate in 2001. After stints with the Singapore FX Options structuring team and Citi Korea markets team, she returned to India to run the CSS India solutions business focusing on Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) clients. In 2009 she moved to Singapore to manage the Investor FX business and currently runs ASEAN CSS. Bhatter has a proven track record of delivering progress and excellence, adapting to new challenges and successfully leading large teams across multiple countries.

Anoushka Dua has been appointed as the head of TTS for ASEAN, effective immediately. She will report to Rajesh Mehta, head of TTS Asia Pacific and Amol Gupte, head of South Asia and ASEAN.

In her most recent role as head of trade for ASEAN, Dua was responsible for leading the continued growth of the business, delivering innovative working capital solutions to meet the rapidly evolving needs of clients, focusing on digitising the business and maintaining a robust risk and control environment. Dua’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming the trade business in ASEAN by building and commercialising structured trade capabilities and amplifying client engagement on working capital solutions.

Dua started her banking career with Citi in 2002 as a management associate in India. She has held several country and regional roles across banking and trade including sales, structuring and product management in India, Hong Kong and Singapore.
