Citi appoints new head of emerging markets research in Hong Kong

Citi has named Johanna Chua as its new head of emerging markets economic research. 

Chua joined Citi in 2000 and has been head of our economics team across the pan-Asia region since 2009. She will remain based in Hong Kong and take over from London-based David Lubin.

David intends to base himself at Chatham House, where he is an associate fellow, to write and engage in projects related to China and emerging market economics. His last day will be on 31 October. 

David will also become an advisor to Citi to continue to leverage his extensive knowledge of emerging markets for the benefit of our global client franchise.
