Citi has assigned a new country officer to oversee its operations in Bangladesh. N Rajashekaran, a banking veteran of 32 years, is set to replace Rashed Maqsood who held the position for six years, Citi said in a statement.
Rajashekaran has been the country business manager for Citi's global consumer banking in China. He had also held the position in Thailand and India. Before that, he was the chief risk officer for Citibank Korea.
The new appointment will be effective from July. The outgoing country officer Maqsood, who served the bank for 22 years, decided to "pursue other opportunities".
