Cecil Yeo to join Bank of Singapore as Market Group Head for ASEAN

Cecil Yeo will join Bank of Singapore as Market Group Head for ASEAN, effective 7 December 2026. In addition, he will lead coverage for Thailand, which entails driving a coordinated market strategy and business plan. Yeo’s hiring further strengthens the Bank’s franchise across the region. Based in Singapore, he will report to Vi Sun Yang, Head of Private Banking, ASEAN.

A veteran private banker with more than three decades of experience across capital markets and wealth management, Yeo brings deep market knowledge, extensive client relationships, and a strong track record of building and leading teams across Southeast Asia. Over the course of his career, he has advised business owners and ultra-high-net-worth clients while holding regional leadership roles across coverage, investment solutions, and fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC).

Yeo joins from UBS after two decades serving in various leadership roles. Most recently, he was Managing Director, Deputy Business Sector Head for Indonesia & Japan and Deputy Lead Market Head, Indonesia, overseeing teams across these markets. Prior to that, he ran UBS’s Wealth Management foreign exchange desk in Asia Pacific.

His appointment follows the arrival of Vi Sun Yang as Head of Private Banking, ASEAN, in June this year. These hires reflect Bank of Singapore's continued investment in leadership talent as it strengthens its ASEAN franchise.

Vi Sun Yang said, “Cecil's combination of market leadership experience, wide client network and deep understanding of the regional wealth landscape makes him an excellent addition to our team. He has successfully developed high-performing teams and cultivated trusted relationships with clients across the region. As we continue to strengthen our ASEAN franchise, his experience and leadership will be invaluable.”
