BBVA appoints Pierre Goffin new country manager for France

BBVA has recently appointed Pierre Goffin the bank's new Country Manager for France. Pierre has more than 25 years' experience in corporate and investment banking and will oversee business in this market. His main objective will be to strengthen relations with large corporations and the leading institutional and investor community in France.

Pierre Goffin, 47, has held several leadership positions in the French banking sector during his career. He was Head of Corporate Banking at Commerzbank in France from 2015 to 2022, after starting his career at Deutsche Bank in 1998 in the coverage team in Paris. He then joined the Frankfurt branch, where he managed the EMEA region as part of the syndicated loans team. In 2007, he joined Commerzbank as relationship manager overseeing a major portfolio of French multinational customers, before taking over global corporate banking.

Mr. Goffin brings vast knowledge of the French corporate market to BBVA, with a special focus on debt structuring products.
