Bank of Singapore has launched Legacy of Giving, a platform providing clients access to donor-advised funds (DAF) by its philanthropic partners, alongside philanthropy advisory and investment management capabilities. A key differentiator is a bespoke DAF arrangement that enables clients to shape the fund’s investment approach, the first such offering through a collaboration between a Singapore private bank and philanthropic organisations. The launch comes as demand for DAFs is expected to rise in Singapore. Singapore, 16 September 2026 – Bank of Singapore has launched Bank of Singapore Legacy of Giving, a platform to help clients achieve their philanthropic goals with access to a suite of donor-advised fund (DAF) solutions offered by its philanthropic partners, Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) and TT Foundation Advisers (TTFA). A key differentiator of the platform is the bespoke DAF arrangement, which offers clients with a meaningful pool of philanthropic capital greater flexibility in shaping the fund’s investment approach, with the potential to grow their assets for charitable giving. This is unlike most DAF arrangements where high- and ultra-high net-worth individuals can only choose from a pre-set list of investment solutions. This marks the first such arrangement in Singapore between a private bank and independent philanthropic organisations. DAFs are structured vehicles that enable donors to direct capital to charitable causes and recommend the size and timing of grants. As DAFs are professionally managed, donors also benefit from strong governance, due diligence and grant administration without the cost and complexity of running a private foundation. Already well-established in the United States, DAFs are gaining traction in Asia. In Singapore, DAFs are expected to increase fivefold between 2025 and 2030, according to a 2024 Wealth Management Institute report. A platform for different giving needs Bank of Singapore’s Legacy of Giving platform combines CFS and TTFA's philanthropic expertise, governance framework and wide network of charities with the Bank’s wealth planning and investment capabilities. Together, these power a comprehensive suite of solutions that meet the different objectives of Bank of Singapore clients. Under the bespoke DAF arrangement, philanthropic partners can empower clients to take a more active role in shaping the investment approach for their charitable giving. Supported with insights from the Bank's Chief Investment Office, clients can be involved in growing their charitable capital and facilitating long-term giving. The platform also caters to clients seeking more straightforward structures. Clients may choose from a range of Bank-managed portfolios and funds pre-approved by CFS or TTFA, or grant-making DAFs which do not have an investment component. The latter may be particularly relevant for trust clients whose assets are already managed within their existing trust arrangements. Jason Moo, CEO of Bank of Singapore, said: “As wealth accumulation accelerates in Asia, so too has the desire to translate wealth into meaningful and lasting impact. Our Legacy of Giving platform gives clients a professionally managed way to do so, backed not just by Bank of Singapore’s investment capabilities but also with the best practices of Community Foundation of Singapore and TT Foundation Advisors. Whether clients are just beginning their giving journey or looking to create a legacy, we believe that demand for such solutions will continue to grow as more wealthy families embrace philanthropy.” Paul Tan, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation of Singapore said: “As the pioneer of donor-advised funds in Singapore, CFS brings deep knowledge of the local charity ecosystem and nearly two decades of grantmaking experience. Through this partnership, Bank of Singapore clients can make informed giving decisions, sustain their philanthropy over time and become part of a community of donors who exchange insights and deepen their understanding of how philanthropy can contribute to a stronger Singapore.” Dickson Lim, Head of TT Foundation Advisors, said: “Donors today increasingly want their capital to unlock greater and more lasting impact, and supporting that ambition calls for a specialised advisory framework. Through this collaboration with Bank of Singapore, TTFA will combine its strategic philanthropy advisory expertise with the Bank’s wealth-planning capabilities, helping clients translate intent into meaningful impact. The partnership salso draws on TTFA's global footprint and deep Asia expertise to give the Bank's clients access to impactful giving opportunities across the Temasek Trust Collective and beyond, helping mobilise more private capital for good."
