Aline Pacheco will join Bank of Singapore as Market Group Head for ASEAN, effective 12 October 2026. In addition, she will lead coverage for the Philippines, which entails driving a coordinated market strategy and business plan. Based in Singapore, she will report to Vi Sun Yang, Head of Private Banking, ASEAN. A seasoned private banker and leader with over 25 years of experience, Ms Pacheco brings deep expertise in client advisory for the ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth segments in Asia, and investment solutions across multiple asset classes. Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, she was Group Head, Southeast Asia at Julius Baer Singapore, where she led a team of 30 relationship managers and assistant relationship managers. Before that, she held senior leadership positions at UBS, including Market Team Head Philippines, Head of Equities APAC, and Head of Direct Access Clients Advisory APAC. Pacheco’s appointment is part of a strategic hiring focus and follows the key appointment of Ms Vi Sun Yang as Head of Private Banking, ASEAN effective 29 June 2026. Most recently, Bank of Singapore also announced the hiring of Mr Cecil Yeo, Market Group Head for ASEAN effective 7 December 2026 where he will lead coverage for Thailand. These hires strengthen Bank of Singapore’s ASEAN franchise, which remains its largest market and a key pillar of its growth strategy. Vi Sun Yang said, “Aline is a highly respected private banker with extensive experience across ASEAN, especially in the Philippines. She has a strong track record of serving ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients, and a proven ability to build and grow successful teams. These are invaluable as we make a strong push to accelerate growth in our ASEAN franchise. She is a strong addition to our leadership bench, and we are delighted to welcome her to Bank of Singapore.” Re-disseminated by The Asian Banker
