ABN AMRO Private Banking appoints Amrit Uppal as managing director for World South Asian Services and International Team

ABN AMRO Private Banking announces the appointment of Amrit Uppal as Managing Director for World South Asian Services & International Team, where he will be responsible for driving, implementing and delivering the commercial strategy and plans for these two client segments. Based in Singapore, Amrit reports to Lee Chang Tze, Head of Private Banking, South East Asia.

On the new appointment, Mr Hans Hanegraaf, CEO of ABN AMRO Private Banking Asia and Middle East said, “Having spent a large part of his career in private banking, Amrit brings invaluable experience. I believe his contribution will further strengthen our private banking offering in the region nd is in line with our continued commitment to clients across the Asia and Middle East region.”

Amrit joins the Bank on 16 May 2016. A veteran banker with more than 16 years of experience in private banking, he has held positions with several global banks such as Barclays Wealth Asia and Credit Suisse in the UK. Prior to joining ABN AMRO Private Banking, Amrit was with EFG Banking AG Singapore where he was Managing Director, Global Head of South Asian Clients.
