HSBC appoints Kris Werner chief of retail banking
HSBC Bank Middle East has announced the appointment of Kris Werner as head of retail banking and wealth management, Qatar. Having joined the Qatar business after five years with the HSBC group, with roles in Turkey and India, Werner will be responsible for the retail banking and wealth management business of the bank in Qatar.
OCBS launches new Cashflo credit card
OCBC has introduced a credit card with an in-built interest-free instalment plan designed to help consumers pay off their purchases over several months. The OCBC Cashflo card allows cardholders to pay off any purchase sum over $100 over a period of three or six months, interest-free.
RBC to double Mideast wealth management team
The Royal Bank of Canada is looking to double the number of wealth management employees in its Dubai office, with sights set on global wealth management as a key driver for growth, targeting organic growth in the Middle East, as well as several other regions.
