This year’s Asian Banker Summit marked its 13th conference, beginning with a keynote speech from the governor of Bank of Thailand, Prasarn Trairatvorakul, followed by a leadership dialogue and panel discussions between Dick Kovacevich, chairman emeritus of Wells Fargo, Liu MingKang, former chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Richard Brown, head of treasury services, Asia Pacific, BNY Mellon, Paul Jameson, global director for financial industry, Cisco, and Emmanuel Daniel, president and CEO of The Asian Banker. Over 1,000 delegates from around the world attended, gaining great insight and holding fruitful dialogue on the global finance industry. The Asian Banker Summit 2012 comprised several conferences combined into one, catering to top bankers, regulators, and treasurers. The Asian Banker Summit featured several complementary dialogues that reflected the complexity of today's industry dynamics, including the keynote and leadership dialogues, the risk and regulation conference, the financial technology and innovation conference and the cash, payments and trade conference. The risk and regulation conference is Asia’s most important annual conference among leading practitioners.
