The Asian Banker organised a teleconsultation session, “Should Asia be greatly concerned?” to discuss recent developments of the Euro-zone crisis and its resultant implications for banks in Asia. 2. The following report summarises the key points presented by the key speaker of the session, including main issues discussed, as well as the Question & Answer session that follows. 3. This report includes a video link to the teleconsultation session. 4. The objectives of the session were: i. to discuss the impact of recent political developments in Europe on the Eurozone crisis resolution and the subsequent implications for banks ii. to assess the impact of crisis resolution efforts and key regulatory developments in Europe on banks iii. to gauge future developments in the European banking scene and its probable effects on the industry II.
