Regional cooperation to serve as safeguard in ASEAN’s market integration bid
With the planned establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community set at 2015, member countries must put aside their respective differences to drive mutual growth and success.
ASEAN, with its motto “One Vision, One Identity, One Community”, aims to promote cooperation in a number of areas including economic stability. To that end, ASEAN leaders have called for “full and complete capital account and financial services liberalisation”, with an aim to forming the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015.
