Bangkok May 30th 2019 - Ms Voranuch Dejakaisaya, Chief Information and Operations Officer, Bank of Ayudhya was awarded the ‘Chief Information and Technology Officer of the Year’at The Financial Technology Innovation Awards Programme 2019. The awards ceremony was held in conjunction with The Future of Finance Summit,the foremost annual meeting for decision makers in the financial services industry in the Asia Pacific region, held at the Shangri-La, Bangkok on May 30th 2019.

She played an instrumental role in the bank’s transformation readiness for digital banking and agile solution delivery

A highly experienced technology leader, Ms. Voranuch Dejakaisaya, Chief Information and Operations Officer, Bank of Ayudhya played an instrumental role in the bank’s transformation readiness for digital banking. She advocated adoption of agile concept towards meeting the changing business needs, higher automation, and integration of systems towards financial ecosystem through application programming interfaces and open banking. She led development of several notable technology and digital initiatives improving the bank’s productivity, efficiency, supporting business growth while minimizing its risk exposures.Besides these, the bank has been transforming itself extensively, investing in digital technologies to meet the changing needs of millennial generation.

Achieved complex technology integrations supporting the group’s growth strategies  

Supporting the bank’s growth strategy her past achievements also include the complex technology integration of Bank of Ayudhya’s legacy platforms with the MUFG Bank’s Bangkok Branch.The integration project entailed highly complex legacy platforms of two banks resulting in seamless and smooth operations thereafter.  Besides this, she also spearheaded the integration of Bank’s systems with Hattha Kaksekar Limited, a leading microfinance institution in Cambodia in 2016which extended the bank’s geographical reach. Prior to this she was technology leader at GE Money and managed the integration of Krungsri Bank with GE Money in 2008.
Recently, she successfully achieved the complex but smooth integration of digital and emerging technologies with the existing legacy systems of the bank. Under her leadership the bank accomplished the consolidation of call center platforms and relocation of the secondary data center to the new location, resulting in improved service level standards and better customer experience.

She championed the development of multiple notable digital solutions in 2018 including the bank’s new mobile application, digital mortgage system, launch of new collateral valuation on mobile and salesforce automation through a cloud-based system for improved cross sell and lead generation capability.Enabling the organization for rapidly changing technology scenario she piloted the adoption of emerging technologies including blockchain based international remittance, also developed blockchain-based pilot project to streamline the bank’s contract management process, implemented analytics based decision platform and robotics process automation across processes for greater operational efficiency.
She was also entrusted by her CIO peers of the Thai Bankers’ Association and elected as the Chairwoman of the CIO club in December 2018.
