Singapore/ Hong Kong/ Geneva/ London, December 19th 2012 – Industry veteran Vincent Magnenat has succeeded Richard Wee as CEO of Lombard Odier Singapore with effect from 3 December 2012. Mr Wee, an existing member of the Lombard Odier Singapore Board, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Board to oversee regional strategy. This is a newly-created Board function to strengthen Lombard Odier’s position in Asia by driving regional business development and coordinating initiatives across the region. Mr Wee also continues to serve private clients.

Newly-appointed Singapore CEO Mr Magnenat reports to Mr Vincent Duhamel, Head of Asia for Lombard Odier. Singapore is one of Lombard Odier’s key Asian hubs, and the business has grown steadily there since its opening in 2008. As Singapore CEO, Mr Magnenat oversees the growth of both the private banking and the asset management businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Mr Magnenat, who has worked in Asia for almost a decade, joins Lombard Odier from Societe Generale, where he was most recently Regional Head of Sales and Marketing for Asia, based in Hong Kong and previously, in Singapore. In that capacity, he oversaw North- and Southeast Asian as well as International marketing teams. He was previously Managing Director, Global Market Manager in Singapore, where he set up a platform for Societe Generale that caters to the needs of international high net worth investors and financial intermediaries. Mr Magnenat has additionally held positions in Credit Suisse Private Bank in Switzerland and Singapore, as well as Winterthur Life Insurance in Switzerland.
