Geneva, September 12th 2013 - Temenos, the market leading provider of mission critical solutions to the financial services industry, today announces the launch of a prototype Temenos Treasury Management Dashboard app for Windows 8, which has been developed with Microsoft Corp.
Treasury managers and senior bank personnel need to be able to accurately check the bank's overall positions against the market without the need to source data from multiple places or scroll through detailed screens or reports. The app allows them to pull all essential data into a single point, which provides a complete and cohesive picture through simple touch technology. Taking advantage of the top down drilldown approach associated with Windows 8, users will at first see a high level, easily decipherable, graphical view of the overall position and can then follow a particular thread to more detail should they have a particular interest or the graphics denote more attention is required. This allows treasury managers a real-time and complete view of their positions and risk from anywhere at anytime. The added value of the tablet is that the experience and the data is immersive, meaning the user can really get to know their data, understanding it and consequently easily spotting anomalies and opportunities.
As an instantly downloadable app, it is designed to fully exploit the power and capabilities of Windows 8.1, while maintaining full capabilities of the Windows 8navigation and providingan intuitive user experience, which is important when instant access to data is required. The addition of this app enhances Temenos' complete front to back solution for the treasury function of the bank.In essence it will allow better access, increased mobility and stronger collaboration for information sharing in the workplace, and the app will negate the need to log on to separate systems and view different screens while roaming through vast numbers.
Mark Winterburn,Temenos Product Director, said:"Temenos is at the forefront of innovation in channels and user experience, which when combined with Microsoft's technology enables us to take to market the platform required for banks to better perform. The successful creation of this app validates our strategy of innovation and development with Microsoft and our platform capabilities for Windows 8. We are committed to making further progress on the Windows 8 platform."
Karen Cone, general manager of the Worldwide Financial Services Industry Group at Microsoft Corp., said:"Today's treasury executives demand mobile access to real-time business critical information while on the go. To support this, devices must meet rigorous standards for security and manageability demanded by financial services IT. The rich functionality of the Temenos Treasury Management Dashboard app combined with the enterprise productivity tools of Windows 8 enable the transformation of treasury operations.
