Washington, February 27th 2013 - The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that Steven J. Randich, currently Citigroup's Co-Chief Information Officer (CIO), will join the organization as Executive Vice President and CIO. Randich will oversee technology at FINRA, as well as FINRA's Registration and Disclosure division. Randich will start at FINRA on March 11.

Randich will report directly to FINRA's Chairman & CEO, Richard Ketchum. "I am pleased to once again work with Steve. Throughout his career, Steve has combined superb leadership and technological skills with strong market and industry knowledge to earn a terrific reputation for working with business clients to identify and respond to priority technology issues. Together, these strengths make Steve ideally qualified to lead our Technology team on our many important initiatives—including the continued rollout of the new exam technology platform, enhancements to CRD/BrokerCheck and development of FINRA's response to the consolidated audit trail (CAT) request for proposal," said Richard Ketchum, Chairman and CEO of FINRA.

Randich brings to FINRA an extensive background of market, technology and operations experience. For the last seven years, he has been with Citigroup, most recently in the dual role of Co-Chief Information Officer, Citi and Chief Information Officer and Global Head of Technology for Citi's Institutional Clients Group. Before joining Citigroup, Steve spent a number of years with NASDAQ as Executive Vice President, Operations and Technology and Chief Information Officer. In addition, Steve served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Chicago Stock Exchange from 1996 – 2000.

Randich has an undergraduate degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
