Stephen Marzo resigns as HKEx CFO

Hong Kong, December 24th 2012 - Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”) announces that Mr Stephen Jeffrey Marzo (“Mr Marzo”) has tendered his resignation, effective 13 January 2013, as the Chief Financial Officer of HKEx.

Mr Marzo’s day-to-day responsibilities will be taken over by the Deputy Chief Financial Officer Mr Kwong Yau Shing, Vincent on an acting basis.

A Selection Committee will be formed in due course to identify a suitable candidate to fill the vacancy.  Mr Marzo confirms that he has no disagreement with the Board of Directors of HKEx (“Board”) and that he is not aware of any matters relating to his resignation that need to be brought to the attention of HKEx’s shareholders.

HKEx takes this opportunity to express its gratitude to Mr Marzo for his contributions to HKEx during his service, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
