Singapore, March 18th 2013 - Religare Capital Markets’ expansion in Southeast Asia continues to gain momentum with the latest appointment of Nik Zairidin as Vice-President of Advisory based in Singapore. He will be responsible for supporting its corporate finance team including merger & acquisition origination and execution.
Prior to joining Religare, Mr Zairidin was with UBS where he was an Associate Director for Corporate Finance and M&A for South East Asia. During his 11-year career in investment banking, he has gained an extensive M&A track record in public takeovers, private equity investments, and debt capital market transactions. His experience spans multiple geographies including Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. Before joining UBS in 2011, he was an investment manager with Malaysia’s government-linked private equity fund management group Ekuinas Capital.
Mr Zairidin reports to recently-appointed Jason Barakat-Brown, Head of Advisory. Mr Barakat-Brown said: “Nik’s experience in the investment banking industry will be invaluable to our efforts to partner with clients and develop solutions for their challenges.
