MasterCard and Worldline partner on MasterPassT integration and deployment

Paris, October 17th 2013 - MasterCard and Worldline, Atos subsidiary for e- payment services, announced today their partnership on the integration and deployment of MasterPassT, the future of digital transactions. This collaboration, which covers all countries operated by Worldline - France, Benelux, Germany, UK, Spain, India and other Asian countries - paves the way for the adoption of MasterPass T by thousands of merchants.

MasterPassT, the digital platform from MasterCard, simplifies online purchases made from connected devices including PCs, touchpads and smartphones. MasterPass eliminates the need for consumers to enter detailed shipping and card information to complete their online shopping at MasterPass merchant sites that have the "Buy with MasterPass T" button on their check out page. Consumers can securely store MasterCard and other branded credit, debit and prepaid card information, address books and more. This simplification of the purchasing process, which also includes all the guarantees of a card payment, should enable e-merchants to increase significantly their transformation rate and boost the development of m-commerce.

This solution, which is initially being deployed for e-commerce, will at a second stage enable merchants to offer to their customers to pay in store with MasterPassT and encourage the convergence of payment experiences using new technologies such as NFC, flashcode, QR code.

From November 2013, MasterPass T will be available on Worldline's online payment platform, an online, secure and cross-channel solution. This partnership should help to expand the adoption of MasterPass T to thousands of e-merchants starting from 2014, who may now benefit from the many advantages offered by this simple and quick solution for consumers.
