Hang Seng Bank announces senior executive appointments

August 26th 2013 - Hang Seng Bank today announced that Mrs Dorothy Sit, 61,Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank (China) (‘Hang Seng China’), and a Non-executive Director of Hang Seng Bank, has been re-designated as an Executive Director of the Bank with effect from 22 August 2013. Mrs Sit became Head of China Business of Hang Seng Bank on the same date. She also ceased to be Chief Executive of Hang Seng China but has retained her position as Vice-Chairman.

With effect from 22 August 2013, Mr Gordon Lam has taken up the post of Chief Executive of Hang Seng China.

Mr Lam, 54, joined Hang Seng China in January 2012 as Head of Business Development, Corporate and Commercial Banking and was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in March 2012. Prior to that, he worked for HSBC for over 20 years, holding various senior positions in areas including corporate and commercial banking, global banking and risk management.

Mr Lam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
