Erste Bank appoints new head of retail Austria division
As of March 1, 2016, Rupert Rieder (59) has taken over management of the Retail Austria division. The division encompasses the entire branch office network for private and commercial customers. More than 1,300 employees in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland are advising and serving approximately 900,000 customers at more than 100 locations.
The business administration graduate started his career in 1980 as an advisor at Erste Oesterreichische Spar-Casse. In the course of his management career he most recently served successfully as City and Regional Director in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. Thanks to his additional responsibilities as a member of various committees and supervisory boards, he is well acquainted with the interface between operational and distribution processes and can draw on a wealth of experience. High customer satisfaction and the acquisition of new customers are Rupert Rieder's major concerns in his new position: “We want to be the financial partner with the most satisfied customers, characterized by easy accessibility”, Rieder stresses.
