Hong Kong, November 28th 2012 – Liquidnet, the global institutional trading network, today announced that Eddie To has joined the company as Head of Legal and Compliance, Asia Pacific. In this role, Eddie is responsible for leading all internal and external regulatory and compliance aspects of Liquidnet’s business in Asia while working closely with Liquidnet’s global legal and compliance team. Based in Hong Kong, he will report directly to Lee Porter, Head of Asia Pacific.

“Eddie brings a wealth of legal and compliance experience from the financial services industry. He will play a pivotal role in supporting the company and handling the complex legal and compliance issues as we continue our ongoing growth across the region,” commented Porter.

“This appointment is part of our continued focus on bringing asset managers more liquidity and more trading opportunities to realize better performance in fast growing markets.”

Eddie brings over 13 years of experience to Liquidnet. Most recently, he was Head of Legal and Compliance in Hong Kong and Singapore for a global boutique corporate finance adviser and for a major Asia-based hedge fund. Prior to that, he held compliance roles at HSBC in Hong Kong and practiced law at a magic circle firm in Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University.
