Hong Kong/ London/ Sydney, February 19th 2013 - DST Global Solutions, a market-leading provider of technology and data management solutions for the investment management industry, today announced it is expanding its Anova team in the Asia Pacific region with the appointment of John Hogan as Regional Anova Solution Manager, Australia and New Zealand and Daniel Kennedy, Regional Anova Solution Manager, Asia.

Effective data management has become a complex challenge for the investment management industry as firms seek to bring smarter, data-driven decision-making to their investment processes, client management and operations. Anova helps facilitate this by delivering post-trade investment data management, analytics and reporting capabilities in an integrated suite of products designed to help address the evolving needs of asset managers and wealth managers.

Julian Webb, Global Head of Data Management and Analytics, said, “We are delighted to appoint managers of John and Daniel’s calibre to our team. Data transparency, due diligence and client service are increasingly important for the investment management industry. Anova’s capability to aggregate data from disparate systems into a single data store for enrichment and reporting will help firms respond to demands for detailed investment information presented in an insightful way.

Julian Webb adds “There is a tremendous opportunity to increase productivity in the investment industry with fragmented technology systems that are causing inefficiencies, multiple points of potential failure and increased costs for investment managers. Anova has already been adopted by many globally, including several in Asia Pacific. These appointments demonstrate DST’s commitment to servicing financial institutions at a local level in Asia Pacific, and we wish John and Daniel every success in further developing these markets.”

These new roles will be responsible for driving the uptake of Anova among financial institutions in the region. John Hogan is based in Melbourne and Daniel Kennedy is based in Singapore, both reporting to Julian Webb, Global Head of Data Management and Analytics. They will work with locally based Business Development teams servicing these markets.

John brings over 17 years of financial services and technology experience to DST Global Solutions. Most recently he was responsible for a major investment management system upgrade at AMP Capital. Previously, John managed business analyst teams at Macquarie Funds Group, Citistreet Australia and Queensland Investment Corporation and brings technology software experience from Princeton Financial Systems.

Daniel brings over 20 years of financial services and technology experience to DST Global Solutions, ten of which have been in Asia. Most recently at Dion he was heavily involved in product strategy, acquisitions and on-boarding and creating new product divisions for wealth management, financial analytics, governance, risk and compliance and messaging workflow.

Anova is an award winning solution that delivers post-trade data management, analytics and multiple reporting channels to help financial institutions make informed investment decisions, demonstrate portfolio performance to their clients and helps meet industry needs for transparency as demanded by regulators and investors.
