August 14th 2013 - Barclays Corporate Banking has strengthened its Scottish team with the appointment of Alan Maudsley as Head of Business Development.
Alan brings 28 years banking experience and will lead a new business team of six in Scotland to further expand Barclays’ presence in the market as it continues a successful year of growth.
Alan joins from RBS where he held the role of Head of Corporate Development for the West of Scotland, responsible for both driving business development and maintaining a portfolio of corporate customers. Entering RBS in 1985, he worked his way up from Assistant Branch Manager to Commercial Development Manager within the invoice finance team before taking on a number of senior corporate banking roles with the organisation from 2005.

Alan is fully MCIBS qualified and holds an Honours degree in Financial Services.
Barclays provides support to more than half of Scotland’s largest companies and has become main banker to many corporate businesses so far during 2013 including Skyscanner Ltd and Manorview Hotel and Leisure Group Ltd.
