Barclays announces new appointment within Trade & Working Capital team

March 5th 2013 - Barclays has appointed Payman Jassim as a Director within its Trade and Working Capital Transaction Management team.

Based in London, Payman will be responsible for driving the execution of structured trade transactions, by working closely with the trade origination team to create solutions for clients’ trade finance needs.

Payman joins Barclays from JP Morgan where he was a structured trade advisor. Prior to this, he was a trade finance lawyer with The Royal Bank of Scotland, SNR Denton and White & Case LLP.

Payman has extensive front line trade finance experience, structuring and executing a broad range of structured trade finance products for clients across multiple jurisdictions and industry sectors.

Commenting on his role, Payman Jassim said: “Growing the trade and working capital capabilities is key to Barclays’ long-term corporate banking strategy, and I look forward to further supporting this by driving the implementation of successful structured trade transactions for our clients.”
