The Bank of New Zealand has announced the appointment of Logan Munro to the role of head of retail network.

He will join the Bank of New Zealand from his current role of general manager – branch banking Auckland and international banking with ASB, a bank he has been with for his whole career.

BNZ’s director of retail and marketing Paul Carter said he was delighted to appoint such a seasoned and well-respected person to this position, which is a vital role on his retail and marketing leadership team.

“Logan is a superb banking professional with a wealth of experience in building customer advocacy and engagement. He has a total focus on the customer experience, understands the changing face of banking, and will play an important role in the evolution and transformation of the Bank of New Zealand,” Mr Carter said.

Bank of New Zealand continues to reimagine banking and how it meets the needs of its customers, who are increasingly comfortable using digital channels for their transactional banking, and use the store network for more complex financial conversations.

“It’s a great time to be joining BNZ when there’s a fresh new brand and strategy to continue transforming the bank – I’m excited to be a part of it,” said Mr Munro.

The appointment is effective 8 January 2018.
