Hong Kong, March 7th 2013 - RBC Investor & Treasury Services, part of Royal Bank of Canada today announced the appointment of Andrew Gordon as Head, Investor Services, Hong Kong & North Asia.

Gordon joins RBC Investor & Treasury Services with over 18 years experience in Hong Kong and Tokyo, most recently at BNY Mellon where he was an Executive Vice President and Head of Alternative and Broker Dealer Services, Asia Pacific. Gordon brings considerable experience in the funds industry and investor services in the Far East, and was recognised by the region’s leading industry publication, Asian Investor magazine, as Custodian Banker of the Year, 2011.

Based in Hong Kong, he will report to David Travers, Head Investor Services - Asia Pacific, who commented: “Hong Kong and northern Asia are key strategic markets for us in our goal of becoming a specialist provider of custody, treasury and payments services. Andrew’s longstanding experience in the industry together with his depth of experience and relationships in Asia will further strengthen our offering to institutional clients in the region.”

Gordon will build on the success of Brent Reuter, formerly Managing Director, Hong Kong, who has been appointed Head Investor Services, US. Based in New York, Reuter will lead the team in promoting RBC Investor & Treasury Services’ capabilities in cross-border asset servicing and fund distribution to US-based asset managers as well as extending the existing relationships of institutional clients of RBC.
