Maybank Singapore launches Maybank Man UtdPlatinum Visa Card
Maybank Singapore has launched its Maybank Manchester United platinum Visa card, as part of a multi-million dollar regional deal with Manchester United (Man Utd) Football Club. The move aims to increase Maybank’s card base, and targets fans of Man Utd with a minimum of about $24 000 in their accounts. It offers card members a number of privileges such as discounts at Man Utd’s stores, as well as to its museum and stadium tour.

RBS India’s employees to face redundancy
Hundreds of Royal of Bank Scotland (RBS) India’s employees may be laid-off when the bank’s retail banking division is absorbed by HSBC India.  The announcement outraged employees, who have previously been reassured by the bank that 100% of its retail and commercial employees would be transferred to HSBC India. Changing economic conditions since the original basic sale agreement has been cited as the reason for the discrepancy.
